Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

Our neigbor has built a lean-to onto his garage that goes 3 feet into our yard without our permission. I have asked him to remove it but he won't respond. This was 2 years ago. Do I have any recourse or will he own the land in 7 years? I am a 76 year old widow. Thank you.

You do have a recourse. If you don't act on it, your neighbor will eventually get the land. I recommend retaining an attorney.
