Re: how long
Not that I know of. I have a couple probate files here in the office that seem to be draging on forever. One day when I was at the probate counter at Hennepin County, I asked some of the folks there about how long before my client is in trouble for not wrapping up the estate.
One of the clerks told me that there is really no limit. In fact, they have one estate that has been open since the 1970s.
