Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

probation

My boyfriend was arrested for a grandlarcney charge, that he did not commit. When he bonded out his po told him he was going to violate him even if he was found not guilty. So he got scared and did not go to court, during that time he missed his po visits.I think it was 7 months He got picked up finally and his po said he is going to violate him now with the missed visits. He committed no crimes during this time, done no drugs, hurt no one. They are saying they are going to give him 25 yrs for that. Please tell me what to do .I talked to the Commish of the Dept Of Corrections in Jackson and his PO found out now he is trying to do more to him.I thought they check into that kind of stuff without telling the po about who called them .I knew he was going to get mad.But I had no idea the MDOC commish would tell him. Please help this unfair treatment.

Re: probation

Under the law, if you are out on probation, one of the terms of that probation is that you will not be accused of any other crimes. It's a trade off for not being in jail for the crime you were already convicted for.
