Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Parental Kidnapping

My ex (we were never married) took my daughter (it is also his daughter) out of state in 2002. At that time we had joint custody and he wasn't supposed to take her out of state without letting me and the courts know 60 days in advance. They are supposed to be in Missouri but I don't know for sure. In 2004 the Judge in Louisiana finally said he would hear my case (the same judge who ordered the joint custody). He gave me full custody but said I have to find her myself. That was December of 04. In Febuary 05, I hired an P.I. to find him and he found him in Lebanan, Missouri. So I traveld up there and found that the residence that was given had been abandoned for 3 months. I want my daughter back. I haven't seen her in almost 5 years. I miss her so much. I havn't talked to her or him in 5 years. What can I do when I am broke? What are my rights as a mother? What should I do? Help Me Please.

Re: Parental Kidnapping

Has he been charged with any crime? I believe you should post this question under Louisiana and Missouri. Since this child has not lived in Mississippi that you know of and the custody order is in Louisiana, I cant think of any way you could get any relief in Mississippi. If you have not already, contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The link is below:
