leases termination

My lease does not include a termination clause, can I brake the lease?

Leases rarely include termination clauses, but rather have lease periods (e.g., 1/1/03-1/1/04). These types of leases expire naturally, when the lease term expires. If your lease has no lease term, it may be a month-to-month lease, if you pay rent monthly. If so, you must give 30 days written notice of your intent to terminate the lease. You can then terminate the lease w/o legal consequence. Otherwise, you can terminate any lease at any time, but there will always be consequences and/or damages for so doing.
