Re: about wills and trusts

You can petition the court to be appointed administrator of the deceased's estate and then you can search the decedent's bank records for a record of a payment to an attorney and other clues about a will. The decedent's medical records might contain a health care directive and a durable power of attorney identifying the attorney who probably also did the decedent's will. Lastly, you can send letters to all attorneys in the local area who might have prepared the will.
