Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

change warrant to signiture bond

Can someone please help me. My Fiance is currently serving time for a DUI although not yet sentenced. Getting this DUI has caused him to go into probation violation in another state (MO) for another case. Currently has an active warrant. Problem: fiance was offered a great plea for the residential center and some time in jail. Judge likely won't hold plea because of the outstanding warrant. I can easily go pay this $500 in another state, but they say he needs to be present.

Please help us. I am 7mo pregnant and we're trying to get this resolved so he can see the birth of his child. People make mistakes. This is something SO little to take away such a big moment for someone. Please point me in the right direction. Surely a lawyer can contact the bondsman and figure this out, right?

Re: change warrant to signiture bond

You do not tell us what he is on probation for, or what county has issued the Missouri warant. In some Missouri counties it might be posssible for an attorney to enter his appearance in the probation revocation proceedings and have the warrant cancelled, continueing the case until your boyfriend is free to apperar in person. Please post more info or you may feel free to contact me directly.
