Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

Probation-violation

I am on probation for a DWI. My boyfriend was driving my vehicle a day ago with me inside. We were pulled over and both charged with possession of marijuana and pariphanelia. It was his. When we go to court willi be charged even if it was his? Should i plead not guilty. Thank You.

Re: Probation-violation

Not only should you plead "not guilty", you should definitely hire an attorney to be sure that you do not enter a plea or take a conviction on these new charges. It is likely that your probation officer will seek to revoke your existing probation, and will succeed if you plead guilty to these new charges. It is possible that an attorney can get the new charges against you dropped and the existing probation continued. Please hire an attorney as soon as you can.
