Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My ex boyfriend who is the father of our 7 month old daughter has been begging to see his daughter to the point of him harrassing myself and my current bf. He took a paternity test so he could be none as the putative father to her. I never put him on her birth certificate and the state will not unless we go to court over it. What rights does he have to my daughter? I am trying to make it so he does not have visitation to her due to past/ possible current drug addictions. What steps should I take?

The child's biological father does not have any legal right to see the child or have time with the child until he has a Court Order. In most cases denying a father's requests to see his child will eventually look bad to a Court, but if this guy is a drug addict, then the court may be more understanding. Even though it might give the father an opportunity to obtain court ordered rights, you should take legal action to obtain a child support order. If you go through the state agency (FSD), they may be able to enter an administrative child support order which would not give the biological father any rights concerning custody. Consult with an attorney. Good luck.
