Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I need to know if i am divorced. I have not been with him for almost 10 years. His new girl friend contacted me via the internet and said that i am divorced and they are now married. She would not tell me where the divorce was done and refuses to give me a copy of the papers. How do i find out if i really am divorced?

To check to see if a petition of dissolution of marriage has been filed in the State of Missouri go on line to

https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do

then click under "name" and put in the county where he may live or your county or wherever and your last name(s) and first name and click "Find". Then find your names and case and click the case number. If you do not find a case with your names it may be out of state or not filed. Keep looking or ask the girlfriend on line for the county where the case was filed. Remember she may also be telling you what she wants you to hear. You can go to the State Bureau of Statistics and check to see if a dissolution is listed.
