If I live in Kansas but want a divorce and move to Missouri, should I find a lawyer in Kansas or could I use one in Missouri?

In order to file in Kansas you have to have lived there for at least 60 days prior to your filing of your petition for divorce. In Missouri it is 90 days prior to the filing of your petition for dissolution of marriage. So you need an attorney wherever you plan on filing for your divorce or dissolution of marriage.

The previous answer does not address the question whether your spouse has ever done anything that would subject him to the jurisdiction of a court in Missouri. You don't tell us where he or she is, or if you ever lived together in Missouri. From the info contained in your question only, it would appear that Kansas would be the proper place for a dissolution of marriage.
