Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri

A friend was brought to the country illegally when she was a child. She has since had children of her own. If I understand correctly, they are citizens since they were born in the U.S. If her illigal status is discovered, is she likely to be deported while she still has minor children who are citizens?

Yes, if she is arrested by ICE, she can be deported. At ther same time, if placed into immigration court removal porceedings, she might be able to apply for a "cancellation of removal" (if eligible). I understand that no one ever petitioned for her.
