Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Missouri

Minors and Sex

My daughter was dating a 17 yr old and she is 15. I didn't like the idea at all!! I let her go to his house to watch a movie after talking with the the mother and making sure she would be at home the entire time(of course) she stated that she would be there and that the two had to leave the bedroom door opened at all times, I even made sure to meet her in person and she encouraged me that she would not let them out of her sight. Well I found out that they had sex, while the mother was home. I trusted this mother and she gave me her word. I never would of allowed my 15 year old daughter to go to their home with out feeling secure about the adult supervision. The boy also manipulated my daughter by telling her that he was also a virgin and that they would lose their virginity together, which we found out from him that he indeed had sex before and lied to get her in bed. Is there anything I can do about this?

I would need to talk with you further to give you an evaluation of the claims which you and/or your daughter may have. There may be potential to file a civil suit against the homeowners and collect a monetary judgment under the homeowners insurance policy. There may also be criminal charges to pursue. Again, I would have to gather more facts in order to make a determination. Please feel free to email me or call me if you would like to discuss further.

Thank you,
