Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

Landlord issues

I am on housing assistance and the landlord has threaten to cut off the locks. I am paid up until Dec. 2, 2008. The housing authority stated that she is not to come into the home until I move. She wants to move a new tenent in on Nov. 22. There was a statement that she believe that there is illegal activity in the home and there isn't. I will welcome the police to come and search the home. what is it that I should do.

Call the police and tell them that your landlord is threatening you with acharge of illegal acticvity and invite them to search your home (if you are sure that there is nothing illegal inside). Try to get areprot number for your claim. then when and if the manager makes a call to the police or provate security your will have aprevious record of her threat and yrou full complaince with the police.

Good Luck
