Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

Signing a Release of all Claims

I was recently in an auto accident. The claims adjuster gave me an amount and we settled and I signed the release of claims and faxed it to her. They e-mailed me today and the amount she told me was not right. I am having to pay the medical bills out of my settlement money. And initially she said that I would not have to, that they would pay the chiropractor direct. Although no one has been paid yet and we have not signed or received a check. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck? Please help!!

Re: Signing a Release of all Claims

Perhaps you would have been better off hiring an attorney in the first place. So many times individuals get taken advantage of by the inurance companies because the individual thinks or is convinced by the insurance company that he or she does not need an attorney. My advice would be to consult with an attorney as soon as possible. Good luck!
