Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Dealer of ATV won't provide me with title

Hi,

In 2004 I purchased 2 new ATV's at around $5,000 each. I used them as displays in a local mall and the dealer and I agreed that he would hold on the title in case I wanted to switch to a newer model at some point. Now the dealer is refusing to provide me with the titles, saying he can't find the paperwork. I have the bill of sale for both, what can I do to force him to get me the titles?

Tell the dealer that he must provide the titles or accept the ATVs back for a full refund. If he has misplaced the titles, he may have to seek duplicates from the State (assuming they were titled in missouri) If he continues to stall, you may have to hire counsel to sue on your behalf.

Good Luck

ask him to apply for a lost title. if he balks then something is wrong.you should then call a lawyer.
