Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

How can I get a title for a 1987 motorcycle that was purchased with no title and no bill of sale? I have heard about a Declaratory of Judgement but would like to know if there might be another way without having to go thru a lawyer.

You might be able to request a salvage title, if you've done enough to alter or repair the bike. However, you seem to have no proof that you own this vehicle. Without getting getting the declaratory judgment, you remain vulnerable to an Order that you give the motorcycle to the last titled owner (without getting your money or traded property back).

Good luck
