Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

I live in Missouri. I have my house & vehilcle with a TOD (transfer on death). I also have a greedy sibliing that thinks she should get everything I have. Is the TOD strong enough to protect the person that I want to receive my estate (very small) or do I need to do an adult adoption or have a will.

Thanks in advance,

Kathleen

You can not have a "TOD" on your house. You can achieve the result you want by using a Beneficiary Deed. If your vehicle has a proper "TOD" on the title then the person you name owns the vehicle the moment you die, and no one else has any say about it. An attorney would need a lot of other information to advise you as to whether or not you should have a Will.
