Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

My mother recently passed away. I would like for MY attorney to read the will and execute her wishes as opposed to the attorney the assisted my mother in writting the will. Mothers attorney and my attorney are in the same law firm.

The hollywood notion of "reading the will to execute the decedent's wishes" has not been in the hands of a private attorney for a century or more. In Missouri, the Will must be submitted to the Probate Court with an application for Letters Testamentary, if you wish for anything in the Will to be honored. Either attorney at the firm you mentioned cna explain this to you in more detail.

Good luck
