Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

I suspect that my sister plundered my father's trust by not following the letter or the intent of the trust. My question is, what can I do to demand an accounting of any and all disbursements made since his death. As the executor, I believe that she broke her fiduciary responsibilities. Do I need to demand an accounting from her or the lawyer and does the request need to be sent certified mail? This is in Missouri.

You're on the right track. While my practice is limited to Texas and I cannot speak to the law of your jurisdiction, your next steps begin with getting your hands on a good accounting.

Consider retaining an attorney to assist you with this. By your own question you indicate that your sister has one, and you're contemplating going toe to toe with them on what the law says you're entitled to. That's a mistake.

Obtaining an accounting would be an easy task for your attorney. Once you have it in hand, you could review it with your attorney and determine if there's enough evidence demonstrated by that accounting to warrant further steps.
