Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

complete right arm injury

I have a attorney, but heres where I am now in one year 3 months. I was injured at work, and sent to a nurse, she spent over the 3 week time frame of getting me to a bone and muscle doctor, leving my lower arm unrepairable, my upper arm had a tendon that tore loose and was fixed. now one month ago they send me in for a nerve conduction test. it came back bad. I have been out of work this long with no pay, because they will not listen to my doctor. the company also I worked for fired me for missing days. I called in to let them know the pain was to severe to work, and at this time the pain has never gone away to be able to work. the doctor that did the surgery is holding up medical records at this point for going on 6 weeks. my attorney says theres nothing that can be done but wait for the report and go from there. This has been a no end battle . I have a hard time understanding that nothing can be done by law. I think theres a lawsuit for mal pratice, for being fired from the company, and the injury itself. the question is not simple theres more than one. the main thing is do I have to set in pain? not be paid for it threw wc? and is there anything my lawyer can file to take care of this case.
