Forgery Misdemeanor Conviction

I was convicted of misdemeanor forgery

in 2001. Other than that, my record is

clean. Will this conviction ever be

removed from my record?

Post conviction relief will be determined by the laws of Montana.

Knowing that you reside in Washington State, I am responding to advise that if your misdemeanor forgery conviction is comparable to a felony in Washington State. Thus, you are prohibited from possessing firearms in this state.

If the offense is called forgery in Montana, but is comparable to misdemeanor "Unlawful Issuance of Bank Check" or some other misdemeanor offense in Washington, there would be no effect on your right to possess firearms.
