Legal Question in Business Law in Nebraska
Our sanitation company made changes to its service, they now pick up recycleables biweeekly instead of weekly. This new schedule does not work well for us so I called to cancel service and switch to a different company. They told me there would be a $25 cancellation fee. They are the ones who changed their service schedule. Is this fee legal? Do I have to pay it?
Thanks
Glenn

Any attorney will say the answer depends on two factors. What does your agreement with the sanitation company provide? The other factor is what is your time worth to pursue this? You can go over the agreement and argue the issue, write letters, etc. But is all this worth $24? Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
