Legal Question in Military Law in Nebraska

Awol

My son went Awol from the army in Nov.05. He recieved a letter from the army in Dec. stating he was dropped from the rolls. On Jan 2, 06 he attempted to turn himself in and long story short he went Awol a second time. The police are now actively looking for him. He isn't at my house. I plan on taking him to a military base in just a couple of days. Is there anything I should know or do before taking him? What is he facing? Is it possible they will just out process him? He was 3 weeks into basic training.

Re: Awol

I agree with Phil. I too handle these matters. There are some things that should be discussed before him turning himself in to just any military installation for his return to military control.

Feel free to e-mail me directly at [email protected] and/or visit my website at www.courtmartialbrand.com. Whatever you do, whomever you decide to retain, it is probably wise not to post any more details of the situation on the site which does not enjoy the benefit of the attorney client priviledge. Good Luck.
