I signed a quitclaim deed when I moved ou of our house 2 years ago, because my husband was afrai I would try to take it away from him. We were still legally married when he died 3 weeks ago. He had not paid the property tax for 3 years. Someone picked up the tax. I want to pay them back so I can move back to the house. He didn't have a will. What can I do? I have til March 2007.

The most important fact you recite in your description is that you were still legally married.

If that is the case you would have some interest in the house. A probate will need to be opened, more than likely. But it is probably worth pursuing. A number of factors will dictate exactly what your interest is in the house.
