Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

credit card

I was served a summons by Plaintiff Capital One Bank where they are taking action to ''seek judgment to recover a debt''. What is the worse case scenario for me as the Defendant if I should choose to ignore this summons?

Re: credit card

The consequences of a default judgment may include losing your money and property to official court process, negative credit rating entries, job loss, and civil contempt fines and imprisonment in the event you fail to respond to post-judgment collection examination notices.

Many of these credit card debt claims are completely defensible when competent representation is hired.

Your attorney can explain further.
