How do you stop a debt collector from garnishing your spouses wages for a pre marital debt?

They need a court judgment to garnish in most cases. Fight them in Court. Dispute the debt. File bankruptcy. Sue the collection agency and, or the creditor in federal court under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. All are options depending on the facts of your case.
