Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Im being sued by a payday loan company called Check City. I went to legal aid they helped me with a response but said me & my husband total income make too much money. I tried to explain to them when we took the loan out we both were not working. Anyway I received a motion for leave to perform discovery. Im scheduled to appear in court on 1/14/10 at 1030am, Im just trying to find out what I need to bring with me to court or if there are any documents I need to have filled out.

You may have grounds to defend the lawsuit from Check City if neither you or your wife were working at the time you got the loan, Check City knew you did not have a job and yet still gave you the loan. Whether you would have a suit is dependent on numerous factors that are too extensive to detail in this response.

If after a thorough review of your individual case it is determined that you do not have any successful grounds for defending the lawsuit, you do have other options. The most obvisious option is bankruptcy.
