Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada

marijuana ticket out of state

I was wondering if i'm a medical marijuana patient in California but got a ticket in NV will it be dismissed or will I still have to pay the bail amount? Also would it matter if I got my medical perscription after I recieved the ticket in NV.

ANY info is appreciated, thank you.

Re: marijuana ticket out of state

California Law does not apply in Nevada. Although after-acquired prescriptions are sometimes helpful in getting a case dismissed, they do not have legal force, as the crime is committed at a specific moment in time, and what happens after does not change that in this case. Nevada does have a compassionate use act that is in many ways similar to California's. If you need legal assistance, please contact my office. We handle cases nationwide.
