Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

adoption in Nevada

I have a 28 year old neice who is pregnant and has asked me to adopt her child. I am willing to adopt but I live in california. I consulted an attorney in California and was informed that I need to get an attorney in las vegas. How complicated is the process and what kind of cost would i be looking at?

If you have consent from the natural father and Welfare waives the home study, it is $1500. If you do not have that consent from the natural father and/or a home study is required on you it is $3000.

Re: adoption in Nevada

Hello,

Generally, the process would require approval from both the father and mother and would typically take about 1-3 months to finalize.

We have family law attorneys in both Nevada and California. We would be happy to discuss further with you at your convenience - 702.990.3583 or via e-mail - [email protected].

Thanks,

Ismail Amin

If you can have her come to California, she may be able to help you with the process here in California after the child is born.

If you need help here, let us know.
