Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I now have residency in the state of NV (have lived there for over six months now) My first child was born in NV & I am not married to the mother. My name is on my daughters birth certificate. Now I have another child with the same mother. He too was born in Las Vegas & the mother & myself are still not married. My children's mother has made me leave the home (not by my choice) We were told by the hospital that because we are not married that I have no rights to my children. I would like to know what rights do I have with my children. I have now been forced to move back to CA where my family (parents) reside & I am being told that if I call my children to speak with them on the phone the parents of my children's mother will file a harrassement charge against me.

What rights do I have?

You may have parental rights, and you may be able to share joint custody; however, it sounds like you will not be permitted to exercise these rights without instituting litigation. In short, you need an attorney who practices in family law matters.
