Legal Question in DUI Law in New Hampshire

License after DWI case

I was arrested in 1995 for a DWI and followed through with all of my obligations to get my license back (ie. CAIP, further counseling, fines, and reinstatement fees). I then moved to MA and got my license there after paying the reinstatement fee in NH. I had my license in MA for about five years but it became revoked because, I was told, I didn't follow through with ALL requirements. I don't understand why it became revoked after so long of a period of me having a valid license for so long. Now I want to know exactly what it is that I need to do and what I have to pay to get a valid NH license which I can keep for ever that will not be revoked after a period of time?

Re: License after DWI case

Your best option is to contact the Division of Motor Vehicles in Concord for information. Unfortunately, dealing on the phone is likely to be less than satisfying. Often, a personal trip to their office is the best way to get the answers you need so that corrective action may be taken.

I also suggest that you have copies of the court order and copies of the completion documents. If you don't have them, it's possible your insurance carrier may have the proofs along with your SR-22 form.
