Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Collection of Assets

My ex and I signed an agreement prior to our divorce that one of our properties assets belonged to me. When we closed, he threatened not to sign the closing unless he received some of the proceeds (in excess of $100,000) In our final divorce it only indicates that the property was sold and he has only paid me $30,000 of the proceeds to date. I would like to make a motion with the court that he repay me the remaining portion of this property sale. Is there any other form I will need to proceed with?

Re: Collection of Assets

It is difficult to respond to your question without more facts. If your divorce decree contained the final agreement, then any of your prior arrangements are likely merged into that document and you would have limited options to collect the money. I would need to examine all the documents in order to more fully respond. The passage of time since this happened does not help your case. You should retain an attorney to more carefully study this matter.
