You may indeed have a basis for a case against Walmart. Even though tracking water in when it is wet outside is unavoidable, the floors slipperiness can be controlled through the choice of appropriate flooring materials, the use of floor mats, and/or diligent mopping up of the water. You are quite right though- the least they could have done is post warning signs.

I am currently handling an almost identical case against Walmart on behalf of a client who also fell in a Walmart store because of a wet floor.

If you would like to discuss the case with me, please give me a call.
