binding deed

Parents refinanced in 02 signed along with them so name is on deed. 4 yrs later father refinaced again i was not on board for it did not sign on the refinancing, but name is still on deed is it still a legal contract and i have a title settlement company cantacting me wanting me to either sign along on the contract or sign off on the deed. Seems fishy woman told my sister if i dont contact her asap she is looking to get sued.

I agree with your observation that something is fishy. In order to answer your question an attorney would need to examine the deed, the mortgage, the security agreement/mortgage and any other supporting documents. The issue of debt responsibility versus ownership can be confusing.
