Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

Purchase and Sale Agreement

We have signed a purchase and sale agreement to sell our residential property. The final signature went on the document 2 days ago. Is there a period of time when we may back out from the contract? If not, what other options are there to get out of the contract?

Re: Purchase and Sale Agreement

It could depend upon what the P&S says but if it is a standard NH Realtor's P&S for the sale of an older a home (not a brand new development)you have a binding agreement. The buyers could try to enforce the sale or they may be willing to take some money to walk away. It depends upon the facts of why you want to get out of the deal.
