Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey

my husband has been late with mortgage payments and late with all his bills because he is working at a job that is commission only. I have paid my bills on time and not late with any of my bills but this lateness and owing the mortgage has affected my credit rating because i am married. Can I file bankruptcy and clear my name?

In general debts do not affect your credit because you are married. It is more likley that you signed the mortgage and note, and that is why your credit is being negatively affected. Please call me at 215.546.4700 to discuss your options further.
