Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

copyright or trademark

Hello,

I used my voice in an ad for someone online, I sent it to them by e-mail, we did not write any agreement either so there is no proof. They live in New Jersey, but I live in California. Now they are saying that it is theirs and I cannot ask them to take it off. It is my voice, after all that they are using, and I do not want it on their site anymore.

What is the legal issue regarding this manner?

Thank you

Re: copyright or trademark

It all depends on the original agreement. Why did you do the recording in the first place?

Why do you want them to stop using it? Is there something misleading or wrongful about using your voice in their ad?
