Can an Attorney fax a 20 page demand letter to a public fax machine to a company addressing the letter to the President of the company without letting the President know first?

Ordinarily, a demand letter would be sent by regular or certified mail, but I know of no legal reason why it couldn't be faxed without prior notice.

Yes, if you mean that the attorney sent a letter demanding payment by the company, and that letter was faxed to the company. It is perfectly fine for an attorney to send a demand letter demanding payment from a company, by letter sent to that company. Fax, mail, FEDEX, delivery makes no difference.

I suggest you get a lawyer. You are about to be sued.

Sending demand letter does not require any prior intimation even to the President of Company. Status of one is not kept into consideration while making legal communication.
