Ok. You are going to need to put a case together. You'll need all of the paperwork from him, pictures, and then an expert (i.e. a home inspector or someone else) to indicate that these things are wrong and that to fix it, you would have to pay X dollars. I could probably find you a good attorney. Call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss.

If you think there is a problem, you really need to find someone very familar with construction, to check your home, to see if there really is a significant problem. Unless you know construction, you can't determine anything but the most obvious errors, and some errors by a drywall or trim guy has NO impact on the foundation and framing, or other major building systems. So put your mind at ease, or get the information you need to go to an attorney, hire a contractor, an architect, or an engineer, to inspect your home. Hopefully, your inspector's assessment tells you the house is OK, except for some easily correctable issues. Good luck.

My firm can help you if litigation is needed. However if you are asking about new construction, you have coverage under a new home warranty. New Jersey builders are all required to give such a warranty. You can start things off by hiring a reputable home inspection engineering firm to inspect the house for compliance with the warranty standards as well as other good construction and engineering practices. Once you have that report, you can contact me or another lawyer who handles construction claims or you can make a warranty claim yourself.
