Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

Automotive contract

One year ago I purchased a new car. I am now in the process of refinancing. In reviewing my contract, I have noticed an error in the amount of $3,000 on the contract. I have asked the auto dealership numerous times for an explanation. However, I have been blown off, hung up on, etc... Yesterday, I was told by the sales manager that he didn't care if there was an error on the contract, I signed it so it's my problem.

Do I have any legal rights in this situation?

Re: Automotive contract

I would want to know the nature of the "error" before trying to figure out whether you have any recourse. You may have recourse under regulations enacted under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. You should consult with an attorney experienced in this area. If you need more info, or would like to discuss your matter, please feel free to call me at 973-659-3400.
