Bank Levy

How can I appeal a Bank levy? I was not notified of this until my bank account was emptied. I have my paycheck direct deposit as well as my child support I dont know what to do.

You or your lawyer can oppose the turnover order that follows the levy if you have grounds for that. That would be if the judgment is not against you and the funds in the account are exclusively yours. Even if the levy is valid, there are some funds that are exempt. Child support of some types qualify. So, that may be a source of relief.

Whether you can have the levy vacated is very dependent on the facts. Consult your lawyer for specific advice.
