Re: domestic violence
A domestic violence complaint does not lead to jail. A criminal charge does. Your son needs an attorney.

Re: domestic violence
It sounds like they were just serving him the restraining order and tell him when he had to go to court, and not there to arrest him. Restraining orders usually come with an underlying criminal charge, so that is what your son really needs to be concerned about. He needs to discuss all of this with a lawyer. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to this in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
