Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Harassment and or trespassing
I posted a note on a garage door and on the front door asking for my money. Is that harrassment and/or trespassing?

Sounds like you have charges against you. I am sure there is more to the story that you don't even know. I suggest you speak to an attorney to help you. It is impossible to answer questions without knowing all of the facts. If it was illegal to post a note on a door, many people would be jail right now (food delivery people, religous workers, etc.). Of course, the content of the note is important as well.

You have the right to sue for your money. What you are doing is understandable, but borders on harassment. If you continue this behavior you will be harassing this person.
