Re: possible sentences

The answer to your question cannot be answered simply on the facts you entered because there are many details that may have a legal impact on 1. the final outcome of your case, and 2. what sentence you receive, if found guilty.

You would not want to enter any plea until someone reviews the legal aspects of your case to determine the best way to proceed. Cocaine charges are rather serious and you want to proceed carefuly.

Someone familiar with the Court system may also be able to recommend alternatives that you may not even be aware of, for example, have you ever had a conditional discharge? This might be the best solution if it would apply in your case.

If the charges arise in Hamilton Twp. or South, feel free to give me a call or e-mail for a free consultation.

Re: possible sentences

The answer is not as easy as that. It is very important to know more facts behind the arrest?

For example, was the sale within a 1000 feet of a school zone?

Or, was the sale within 500 feet of a public housing project?

If the answer to with either is yes, there is a manditory time that an individual must spend in jail before they are eligible for parole.

(Just for your reference a person convicted of a 2nd degree offense is facing between 5-10 years in jail with a presumptive sentence of 7 years.)

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you hire a criminal attorney right away. A much more favorable deal can be worked out with the prosecutors office before the matter goes to grand jury.

I will be more than happy to anwer questions on this matter, I handle cases just like this every day.
