Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

first violation of probation

I have been on probation for 2 1.2 years i have never once violated in any type of way i was arrested for domestic violence but charges from that person werent pressed the cop told me once i went to court they would be dismissed will i have to do any jail time ? i have yet to go to court and i have to see my probation officer before , i left her a message and told her about what happend i have talked to her since then and she has yet to say anything about it

I would have to know more details before I could give you a definite answer. If the police officer says that he is going to dismiss the charge against you, then you won't have to worry about jail. If the charge is pressed against you, then there is a possibility of jail time due to the fact this is a violation of probation for a domestic violence charge.
