Do you need three signatures for a will to be legal?....Thankyou

Actually, you need 4. One is that of the person signing the Will, 2 and 3 are the witnesses and 4 is the Notary Public.

I'm guessing that you were asking about the number of witnesses you need and the answer to that is two although a handwritten Will with no witnesses at all can be legal. That is known as a "holographic" Will. But if you do have 2 witnesses and the Notary sees them sign after the person who is making out the Will has signed, the Will becomes what is known as "self-proving." Without the Notarization (the actual term is "acknowledgment"), you either have to have the witnesses come to Court or at least submit affidavits that they saw the Will signed. If they die or disappear, you can have real problems.
