Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Co-habitation

My boyfriend moved into my house and paid me a small amount towards the mortgage payment. He purchased some furniture for me while he was living with me. He has moved out and is requesting the TV and dining room set he purchased for me be returned to him. Does he have any rights to these items if he purchased them for me. He did not sign any type of agreement stating that when he left me he was going to take these items back.

Your best defense would be that all of that stuff were gifts.
