Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My daughter lives in NY, I am in NJ. The only court order/custody agreement we have is the original NJ agreement which had a 2 year jurisdiction. There was never another court hearing or custody agreement. My ex wife, for over the last 2 years has not been abiding by the agreement, and has been threatening to move my daughter to another state, (NC or PA) telling her and me that we have no say in the matter, has withheld visitation, and continues to threaten to withhold more if her views and mine are not the same. I would like to know if I have to file a motion in the NY courts, or the NJ courts to force her to abide by the standing court order, or get a different court order, or even to fight to get custody of my daughter. My daughter is 13, would prefer to live with me, but her mother keeps telling her that it will never happen. Not sure what I need to do to resolve this situation.
