Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I'm traveling with my son on 1/27/2011 to Chile as I had agreed with my ex-wife. We are going on vacation. She was supposed to go to the Chilean Consulate to give her permission to the consul as it needs to be for this country. If I don't have it, I won't be able to bring him back with me. He currently lives with me and I have his physical custody but we share legal custody. She doesn't have any good reason for me not to take him with me. Please advise me on what I can do to take him with me. He is 11yrs old & does want to go with me to visit both sets of grand-parents.
